Last year, as part of our School Improvement Plan, the Curriculum Review Group carried out some development work on the Senior Phase Curriculum. This led to the following main changes:

• S4-6 pupils will now have one main Core Teacher* for Literacy, Numeracy and Health & Wellbeing
• Senior Choice subjects will only be for S4&5 classes

There was also some changes made to how the S6 curriculum will be delivered. Pupils will still work on their core skills (Literacy, Numeracy, Health & Wellbeing and ICT) but this will be through the theme of vocational and independent living skills.

* some pupils may have more than one teacher depending on staff timetables e.g. their Core Teacher will teach Literacy and Numeracy and a different teacher may teach Health & wellbeing – please speak to your child’s main Core Teacher with any pastoral concerns  

**As in S4&5, pupils will still gain certification for core subjects
