Carrongrange High School is the only Secondary School for pupils with Moderate, Severe and Complex Additional Support Needs. It is a purpose-built special school, opened in August 2017, situated in the centre of Grangemouth, approximately 4 miles to the east of Falkirk. Pupils follow a curriculum that is varied, relevant, challenging and enjoyable that is based on a secondary curriculum, adapted to meet the individual needs of the pupils. Pupils are taught in classes with a maximum of 10 pupils and are supported by skilled and experienced practitioners who are committed to meeting their individual needs. Health and Wellbeing and life-skills play an important part in preparing pupils for life after school. The school plays an important role in a lively and vibrant community and is often involved in partnership projects with the wider community. Parents are encouraged to share in the life of the school, and are welcome in the school at all times. All staff in Carrongrange High School are expected to make a positive contribution to the general ethos of the school, to provide a supportive and caring environment, and to encourage pupils to do the best that they can and to achieve as much as they can.
